Inpatient Drug Rehab Centers

Inpatient drug rehab centers should be a comfortable place to recover in.

It is not unusual for an addict to defer treatment because they feel unable to assume the financial burdens involved. There are many options available for inpatient drug rehab centers to provide services for free or at a minimum cost based on the individual’s ability to pay. Most centers offer the same basic treatment services that are offered by traditional inpatient drug rehab centers without any of the extra frills or luxuries. The common goal of an inpatient drug rehab center is to offer a safe, clean and supportive environment where the addict can obtain 100% concentration on their recovery from addiction. A trained and professional staff will supervise and guide the addict’s recovery progress by providing various medical services, including detox, individual, group, and family counseling sessions, therapy, and other support services. Several options are available for funding and can be found through a variety of resources. Local and state governments may provide funding based on specific requirements such as residency or active participation in government assistance programs such as food stamps, SSI or welfare. Community support groups and non- profit organizations may offer funding but may require residency in that community. Religious organizations and many churches offer funding and do not always require membership. Keep in mind that not all funding may be for the full amount but may be substantial assistance or sponsorship programs geared towards helping those with the desire and willingness to overcome drug addiction.

Long Term Inpatient Drug Rehab Centers

Long term inpatient drug rehab centers provide intensive and persuasive tools to increase the chances of addiction recovery for those addicts who have been chronic or long term abusers. Those who have relapsed or been unsuccessful in maintaining sobriety after participating in outpatient and short term inpatient drug rehab programs may also benefit from the extended time and resources provided at long term inpatient drug rehab centers. Beyond the initial services for detox, and the standard services for individual and group counseling, theses centers include physical and psychological therapies based on individual needs. The enforced drug free lifestyle gives the addict a sober living structure with a duration of 3 months to 2 years. Intensive and persuasive measures are practiced to give the addict time to adjust to sobriety and develop the life skills and values they have learned. Therapy programs are only good as long as the individual is sober so through continued guidance and support from trained counselors and other professionals, the addict can assume societal responsibilities such as work or education, while learning how to balance priorities effectively. A healthier lifestyle is encouraged and occupational, vocational, legal, and social barriers are addressed. Over time, the addict will develop trusting and meaningful relationships that will help in retaining permanent sobriety taking the positive habits formed with them when they return to a normal living status.

Residential Drug Rehab

Inpatient drug rehab centers are commonly provided in a residential setting that allows for supervision and monitoring of the addicts recovery progress on a 24 hour basis. Addicts who find themselves unable to stay sober after outpatient or short term inpatient programs may benefit from an extended stay at one of the many sobriety enforced residential drug rehab centers. These stays may last from 6 months to a year, sometimes, even longer but, this may be just what is needed for the addict to successfully develop the proper coping skills for recovery. The services include physical and psychological therapies, individual, group, and family counseling, and various medical services. The centers employ professional counselors and staff to provide education, guidance, and training tools to guide the addict as he undergoes the recovery process. Some residential centers provide a Christian or other religious atmosphere for which some individuals may prefer but, all centers encourage a sustainable, healthier lifestyle free from drugs.

Free Residential Drug Rehab

Free residential drug rehab centers are often sponsored by churches, religious groups and other community or non-profit organizations. Because these centers are often supported through donations or grants, criteria for entry may include proof of addict’s inability to pay or other criteria specific to the center. In a residential setting, the addict receives a treatment program based on individual needs. Standard protocol includes counseling, therapy and support. Under 24 hour supervision and monitoring, the addict adheres to the enforced sobriety rules as defined by the residential drug rehab center. These centers are commonly used for addicts who have elected through a judicial process, or been mandated by a court to attend. Some community health organizations may support these centers by providing funding or co-pays based on a sliding scale fee or minimum cost according to the individual’s ability to pay. Most of these facilities do offer free inpatient substance abuse programs but they simply require evidence of financial need.
